Berry Pickin' & Daddy's Work

Finally, we got to go berry picking before the season was completely over. Granny Joy and I have really been wanting to go, but we got some extras with us too. Jeremy was in town visiting and I was watching Dallin and Alera so we all went together and Tia Kimberly met us there too.









It was a productive day with many blueberries, but sadly for Granny, few blackberries were left. We went a little late in the season for anything but blueberries. Granny loves working outside, so often when I go to her house I find her this position -




She knows her gardening and found a few good ones left down below.

East Texas Oilfield Expo

We visited Daddy at work today while they were showing off their M5 stuff at Maude Cobb. We got to meet some of the people TJ works with and introduced to lots of customers I'll probably never remember the names. We're sure glad Daddy remembers all of them because it's one of the things that makes him a great salesman.

We had a great day boating at Lake O' the Pines and ran into friends from church while we were there. A really nice guy let us borrow his tube for the kids to use too so it made it even more fun!

Every few months we are graced with the presence of Allie and her family. Although they aren't just here to visit us, we always appreciate the visit just the same.

Good-bye Sci-Port (for now)

Well, this month our annual passes are expiring for Sci-Port Discovery Center in Shreveport :( It's been a great year of lots of fun things there, but we'll just have to wait to go again when we get passes another year. This month we made two trips - gotta get our money's worth. At the beginning of the month we went with our good friends, Maria Luisa, Alexa and Miguel. They had never been before and we all had a great day playing inside.....







...and OUTSIDE!

I've always wanted to do the splash pad on the Red River so this time we packed a lunch and swim suits for the kids to make a fun-filled day of learning and play.

Then, after all the reunions in June, we went one more time with our friends, Felicia, Donaven and Emerson.
