Granny & Papa Boone Visit

TJ had to take a trip to Houston for work so we left on Thursday night so the kids and I could spend time with his mom and step dad while he was working Friday. They live in West Columbia, Texas. It's south of Houston and they have a nice place out in the country. We had a great day of fun just playing around. Here are a few things we did.

Let's race! Granny and papa helping out.

Kisses for Granny!

Pool Time

They have a three-car garage that's converted to a house. They built their new house next door about 9 years ago so they just use it for business and play. The bikes and trike are all on the 1 car end and the rest is mostly for fun.

James's favorite number (has been for a couple years):

Who needs sticks? This is James' pool play!

James loved the hammock.

Jade - not so much.

They loved watching the chickens and turkey. We even get a green egg sometimes when we visit.

Papa Boone heard James say, "whatever" while we were there and so he taught him another one of my unfavorite words, "Duh." I guess it's not actually a word, but I just don't like it. This is the motion he taught him with it. Thanks, Papa.

Jade loves her babies...

and her Daaaaaaddyyyyyyyyyyyy. He got back after we had already eaten dinner, but he couldn't pass up one of his Mom's yummy home-cooked meals. Thanks, Granny!

Once again, James loved the motorcycle.

Jade - not so much.

But I did get one good shot on the motorcycle (to the pride of 3 grandparents):

We left with good memories to cherish with Granny and Papa. Family is a blessing.
